Product Profile:
General Description:
A two component polyvinyl-butyral primer. This is a pre-treatment wash primer that can be used for etching when sandblasting is not feasible. This product does not contain chromium or chromium compounds.
Common Usage:
Aluminum, smooth formed metals such as hot or cold rolled steel, galvanized surfaces, or other non-ferrous metals.

Surface Preparation:
Surface must be perfectly clean. The surface must be free of all dirt, grease, or other contaminants, rust or moisture. This product is designed for new and unpainted surfaces.

Theoretical Coverage:
391 sq. ft./ gallon @ 1/2 mil dry, assuming no application loss. Coverage will vary depending on surface texture and application technique.
Packaging: One gallon kit consists of a one gallon container filled short to accommodate one quart acid diluent Anchor #CC-1723 B.

Mixing: Slowly mix Four (4) parts vinyl wash primer Anchor #CC-1723 A with one part acid diluent Anchor #CC-1723 B on the job.
Thinning: Before mixing acid with primer, the primer may be reduced up to 20% with Anchor #J-1133 thinner.

Application Considerations:
The mixed material must be used within an 8 hour period. The primer should then be recoated within 24 hours as this coating has poor weatherability. Coverage will vary depending on the surface texture and application technique. This product is most efficient at minimum film thickness, as soon as the gray color becomes visible, the film build is sufficient.
