Product Profile:
General Description:
This is a quick drying lacquer stain used on new or stripped wood. It is an excellent product for industrial or household use. It dries fast, will not lap, penetrates well and can be recoated within the hour. FOR INTERIOR USE ONLY.
Common Usage:
Satin Speed Stains can be used on wood paneling, doors, furniture, cabinets, and trim.

This product can be topcoated by either lacquer, varnish, or polyurethane coatings. Consult your Anchor representative for specific job recommendations.
 
Surface Preparation:
The surface must be free of all dirt, grease, oil, moisture, or previously applied coatings and finishes before application. The surface should also be sanded to avoid roughness in finish.

Theoretical Coverage:
Approximately 500 sq. ft./gallon. Coverage will vary depending on surface texture, porosity and application technique.
Packaging: When used residentially, these stains are available in quart (1/4 gallon) cans only. However, when used in shop applications, they are available in gallon cans, 5 gallon pails, and 55-gallon drums.

Application:
Mixing: Stir thoroughly and frequently during application.
Thinning: Use Anchor #J-5 Lacquer Thinner.
Surface Temperature:
Minimum 50 F
The surface should be dry and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
Application Equipment:
Airless Spray
Pressure: 300-1000 psi
Tip: .011"-.015"
Conventional Spray
Air Pressure: 40-70 psi.
Fluid Pressure: 10-20 psi
Brush: Use high quality natural china bristle brushes.
Cleanup: Use Anchor #J-5 Lacquer Thinner.
Application Considerations:
This coating can be applied by brush, spray or by wiping with a white knit cotton rag. Apply in a full wet coat. Coverage will vary due to the porosity of the surface. One coat should suffice, but an additional coat can be applied if a deeper tone is desired. If spraying, follow by wiping off excess with a clean white knit cotton rag. Test color on an inconspicuous area. Color and depth will vary depending on the type of wood.
