Primer Coats: Anchor #1600 Series Rust Inhibitive Primers. Consult your Anchor representative for specific job recommendations.

For maximum performance, the recommended substrate should be blasted in accordance with SSPC-SP7. If blast cleaning is not feasible, the substrate should be degreased in accordance with SSPC-SP1. All burrs should be removed and sharp edges or rough weld seams should be ground down. Full use should then be made of mechanical power tools, in conjunction with wire brushing and chipping to remove all loose rust and mill scale to a standard of cleanliness conforming to SP-2 or SP-3. Prior to painting, all dust should be removed from the substrate by using clean brushes and/or dry compressed airline.

	Coverage Rates Per Coat:  Dry Mils Wet Mils Sq.Ft./Gal. Suggested: 1.8 3.3 481 Minimum: 1.6 2.9 542 Maximum: 2.0 3.7 433
	Mixing: Stir thoroughly, making sure no pigment remains on the bottom of the can.
	Thinning: Use Anchor #J-1131 or #J-34 Fine Finish Blend for spray applications. Do NOT use #J-34 when combining #900 Series enamels with #J-1100 Polyurethane Hardener. Use #J-1112 for brush and roller requirements.
	Surface Temperature: Minimum 50 F Maximum 110 F The surface should be dry and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
	Application Equipment: Airless Spray Pressure: 1200-2200 psi Tip: .011"- .015" Brush: Use high quality natural china bristle brushes. Roller: Use 1/4" synthetic nap covers.
	Cleanup: Use Anchor #J-1131, #J-1112 or #J-34 Fine Finish Blend.
	Application Considerations: The recommended method of application is by airless spray. However, brush, roller, or conventional spray may also be used. To avoid dusting, apply in wet coats. On a derusted surface, the application of a dry film thickness of at least 2 mils is recommended. With any oxidative coating, faster dry time may be obtained with increased air movement and/or higher substrate or material temperature.
