General Description:
A high solids, low V.O.C., inorganic zinc-rich primer providing excellent
protection from severe environment and exposures. This is a solvent-based
inorganic ethyl polysillicate/ 100% zinc catalyst system.

This primer is widely used in carefully engineered systems, maintenance-free
life expectancy of up to twenty years.

This product is not recommended for immersion in acids, alkalis, or chlorinated hydrocarbons without resistant top coat. Suitable intermediates and topcoats include epoxies, waterbornes, urethanes, acrylics, and silicones. Consult your Anchor representative for specific job recommendations. |
Surface Preparation:
 |
The surface should be sandblasted in accordance with SSPC-10 near white
metal blast. Remove all flux and scab from welding. Grind smooth all rough
welds and sharp edges. Remove any grease, oil or dirt with solvent prior to
blasting. The surface should be coated as soon as possible after sandblast.

Mixing: Always mix Zinc Dust into liquid. Hand or mechanically agitate being careful not to mix so fast that air is entrapped. Strain the mixture and place into a mechanically agitated pot. |

Not recommended for Zinc-Rich applications due to excessive wear on pump and gun. If mandatory, use a Graco 28:1 pump, reverse-a-clean tip with .017-.021 orifice and an agitated material pot.

Application Considerations:
Spray preferred. Spray pot should be on the same level or higher than the gun.
If application is delayed 10 or more minutes, clear the liquid hose. A mist coat
is recommended when topcoating to minimize bubbling.
