Product Profile:
General Description:
A bitumastic black solution used in general maintenance situations under moderate corrosive conditions. It can be used over metallic or concrete surfaces that have been properly cleaned.
Common Usage:
Specific uses for this product include the coating of pipes, storage tanks and water submerged tanks.

Surface Preparation:
The substrate shall be cleaned and degreased in accordance with SSPC-SP1. Concrete should be cured and all laitance removed. All burrs should be removed and sharp edges or rough weld seams should be ground down. All surface imperfections should be repaired. Where weathered steel is applicable and where the substrate has reached rust grade, appropriate chemical cleaning or blasting will be necessary.

Mixing: Stir thoroughly, making sure no pigment remains on the bottom of the can.
Thinning: Thin with Anchor #J-1112.

Conventional Spray
Air Pressure: 40-70 psi

Brush: Use a high quality natural china bristle brush.
Roller: Use a 1/4" synthetic nap roller cover.
Cleanup: Use Anchor #J-1112 solvent.
Application Considerations:
Spray application recommended. However, brush, roller, or conventional spray may also be used. To avoid dusting, apply in full wet coats. On a derusted surface the application of a dry film thickness of at least 3 mils is recommended.
