Spotting: Plaster/Drywall Flat or Dull Spots

Description: There are dull or chalky spots.
Cause:
- The surface was not sealed with the appropriate primer or sealer.
- Too much thinner was added to the material.
- An incorrect application technique was used.
Prevention:
- Use the appropriate primer or sealer prior to applying the finish coat.
- Use caution if thinning material. Do not over-thin.
- Apply the coating in an even and uniform manner.
Cure: Spot prime the affected areas and then recoat entire surface.
